Technical Comparison of the Robstep X1S & Hover-1 xLS & Swagcycle 

For compact affordable folding eBikes, the Robstep X1/X1s stands in class for style, sophistication, portability & performance.

Comparatively Large 14″ Wheel Size:
One of the defining features of the X1/X1S are the large pneumatic 14″ Wheels. Larger wheels provides the Rider with a smoother, more comfortable & enjoyable journey. For general handling, the larger wheels are superior for negotiating small potholes & other irregularities in the road’s surfaces, over similar types of folding eBikes like the Hover-1 xLS & Swagcycle—these are fitted with only 10″ Wheels.

Folding Capability & Light-Weight:
In less than a minute the Robstep X1 can be folded/unfolded to fit conveniently in the trunk of a small car, or stowed on a yacht, carried on a train, or even inside a personal aircraft, giving you no-fuss instant transportation for any occasion.

At only 37.5lb it’s also incredibly light. There are no other folding eBike in this class that offer the same combination of low weight, range, & large Wheels. During the design process, the Designers continuously worked to shed unnecessary pounds from the frame, examples of this are to be found on the fork & foot support areas, with the result that the X1 is a bike is both a remarkably strong & structurally very light.

Easily Swappable Battery Pack:
Another unique characteristic of the folding X1 is the removable battery pack: this can swapped out in seconds & charged independently of the bike. To secure the battery in place, there is a unique key that locks it vertically into the frame. Extra battery packs are available to purchase separately. They come in two capacities: a large 336Wh/7Ah (this is the type that comes with the bike) & a smaller 211Wh/4.41Ah pack—both packs weigh the same, the larger capacity pack simply contains higher capacity 18650 battery cells.

Backlit Digital Dashboard:
The easy to read but big-bold information dashboard is sure to impress even the most ardent technophile. At a glance you can see the Current Speed, Battery level, Trip Mileage, Total Mileage, Bike Lock Status, Bluetooth Connectivity, & Headlight Indicator.

Bluetooth Speakers & LED Lighting:
The stereo Bluetooth speakers are integrated right into the frame. You can connect to these with your phone just as you would with any other Bluetooth speaker or headset.

On the front the bike, right below the Dashboard, is an array of eight bright White LEDs; these are oriented in a 45° downward facing angle which throws a bright, wide luminous streak of light in front of your way. On the rear of the bike is the clip-on tail-light (supplied with the Robstep) that has 4 different settings (steady, blinking, combined red and white lighting) this is powered by rechargeable battery with a micro-USB connector—the front lights are powered directly from the main battery pack.

2x USB Charging Ports & Dual Remote Controls:
Fitted with two conveniently located USB ports to charge your phone while on the move. The X1 folding eBike also has two remote controls that allows you to lock/unlock the motor & switch the mileage—you’ll still need an anti-theft bike lock to prevent someone from picking it up & walking away with it.

Styling:
There are four unique & futuristic colors to choose from which inspired from the Japanese comic culture, these are: Evil Red, Sahara Yellow, Amazon Green & Oasis Blue. During the manufacturing process, the Robstep goes through a multi-coat paint process that is then cured in an oven. This yields a finish that is both a bold & vivid & extremely durable as well. Most other manufacturers simply spray the paint to the frame, which is susceptible to chips & flaking over time.

Design:
The X1 was designed by a world-class Auto Designer who had previously worked on award winning cars at Volkswagen. Perfecting the X1 look required hundreds of sketches & two years to arrive at the final design.

Performance:
X1S is powered by a powerful custom 300W motor, outclassing the competition in acceleration & speed. Unique to eWheels is an improved top speed capability of 15.5MPH, over the original X1, that was limited to 12.5MPH.
